The original house was constructed in the early 1990s but it was in need of updating. A survey indicated that there were also some structural issues that needed attention. The client had a wish list of features they wanted incorporated within the refurbishment that would transform the house into a modern, luxurious home. A guest suite, cinema room, bar area and games room, barbeque area and extensive first floor balcony were all to be included. It became clear that as work progressed much of the original structural elements of the building would need to be replaced. New structural floors throughout the house and a new roof were included. The house was given an entirely new plumbing and heating system along with a full electrical rewire. Living areas with the house were opened up to create a open plan scenario and so a substantial amount of structural steel framing was required. The decoration and fitout was of the highest quality and along with a completely new garden landscape this house now resides in the category of exceptional.
